WHAT: Are you aware there are alternatives to the paved way up to Lake Arrowhead? This leisurely Sunday tour reveals breathtaking panoramas of Silverwood Lake and the high desert. We'll weave our way through the maze of hills and gullies that leads up to the ritzy resort and challenge a short, rough section near Pilot Rock. Just prior to midday, we'll arrive in Lake Arrowhead Village for shopping and sightseeing. By noon, it's off to the Arrowhead Resort for Sunday brunch! The scrumptious buffet boasts of fare fit for a king. We'll overlook the lake from the patio, or weather precluding, enjoy the warmth near the fireplace. Our trek home takes us through the woods and eventually into the high desert. All in all, it's a pleasant way to spend Sunday exploring the local mountains and deserts.
