The Mile-Hi Jeep Club is hosting their 30th Annual ALL-4-FUN Week August 3 - 9 just north of Salida, Colorado. The purpose of ALL-4-FUN is to bring together 4-wheelers from all over the world to Colorado and provide them with a full weeks worth of challenging 4-wheeling, breath-taking scenery and experience some good old Colorado hospitality. The event is becoming very popular with 335 vehicles and 800 individuals registered this year. Pre-registration filled the event last February.

Base camp events take place under their red, white and blue 40 by 100 foot tent. After singing the National Anthem and hearing announcements, door prizes from local merchants were being given away tonight.

But the heart of the event are the trail rides and the sign up board gets rushed each evening at sign up time with everyone trying to get their first choice trail for the next day before they fill up. I signed up for the "Mine Sweeper" trail for Monday. Lockers front and rear and a winch are required and even then they don't guarantee you will make it. According to the sign up sheet, it took 11 vehicles 4 hours to do the first 300 feet. The 10 spaces available for this trail didn't fill up. Hmmm... - what do they know that I don't know? :-)

Each morning the participants line up for the trail they signed up for. Several groups depart each half hour every morning except Wednesday which is reserved for Family Fun activities at base camp.
